The Small Cell and In-Building (iDAS) Technician will be primarily focused on field activities associated with construction and installation of Small Cell Nodes and In-Building Distributed Antenna Systems for the Wireless Carriers, TowerCo’s and OEM community.    Small Cell Technician Responsibilities: - Small Cell pole installation - Installation of radio and network equipment on small cell poles and aerial strands - Installation of fiber, coax, ground, PWR cabling and additional ancillary cabling required. - Coax and Fiber spicing - Site Surveys - Sweep and PIM testing - Fiber testing via OTDR - CW testing   iDAS Technician Responsibilities: - Installations of wireless carrier hub and head end equipment - Installation of DAS head end and remote radio equipment - DAS antenna and associated cabling installation in in-building and venue environments - DC power, racks and ancillary equipment install - Coax termination and Fiber spicing - Site Surveys - Sweep and PIM testing - Fiber testing via OTDR - CW testing - Pre and post-install data collection using scanner, test phones or other equipment - Proficient operating a spectrum analyzer with solid understanding of RF theory and application Lead Technician Additional Requirements: - Project Management Skills - Team leadership - Ability to interact with property owners, customer, jurisdiction representatives - Sound interpretation of iBwave design - Sound interpretation of construction drawings - Evaluates systems for correct functionality and optimal performance - Scheduling - Material procurement - Close-out Package   Qualifications and Requirements: - 2+years’ Experience with DAS deployments and/or Small Cell ROW work - Experience working for major network operators is a plus - Understanding of carrier BTS equipment function is a plus - Understanding of DAS system components and passive distribution - DAS OEM Certifications (We design and deploy SOLiD, ADRF, Commscope, Corning and TEKO) - Small Cell OEM certifications a plus (Nokia, Ericsson, SpiderCloud) - Fiber and Ethernet (Standards, installation) including fusion splicing and OTDR testing - Knowledge of AC/DC power - Knowledge of LTE wireless networks - Problem solving, troubleshooting, and creative thinking - Work in a positive Team focused environment - Self-starter who works well with minimal to no supervision and is highly motivated - Good oral and written communication skills with attention to detail - CDL a plus Salary Range - $18 - $23/ hour Benefits/Incentive Pay We offer competitive compensation for professional, skilled and hourly employees. Core areas of MasTec Network Solutions business include Civil/Cellular services, Microwave Engineer/ Network Services, Tower structure services and alternative power solutions. The Construction Supervisor is responsible for directing in-house crews and subcontractors in day-to-day activities to drive successful project outcomes. This position supports the Project Management/Operations team in scheduling, financial analysis, and working directly with customers, engineers, and stakeholders to provide status updates. Accountable for execution of projects from start to finish including: bidding, procurement, enforcing MasTec Core Safety Principles, management of build and closeout activities. Essential Functions- -  Manage and lead internal and external project teams to ensure on-budget and on-schedule delivery. -  Report and communicate to external customer(s) and internal management each day. - Build processes and teams required to deliver all project requirements. -  Coordinate with the Project Construction Lead for timing, execution, and closeout of individual projects. - Lead weekly meetings with the client and project team. - Send crews to projects and direct them on the overall tasks needed to be completed and ability to troubleshoot and problem solve. - Assist with bidding projects and billing deliverables. - Ability to approve timesheets, daily logs, unit tabulation, managing change orders, and interpretation of financial metrics on individual projects.  -  Ensure project milestones/schedules are being met and proper revenue recognition is being reported. - Ensure the crew has the correct equipment and materials needed for the project and organize/coordinate logistics to have on-site prior to start date. - Develops, maintains and grows working relationships with Customers, Vendors and Contractors.  - Proven track record of providing deliverables, forecasting, scheduling, and resource allocation planning.  -  Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.  Minimum Qualifications- -  A High School Diploma, or equivalent. -  3 years of construction project experience. - Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF writer. - Intermediate experience in schedule management. -  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks. -  Good written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to identify and distinguish colors. -  Ability to read blueprints accurately. - Ability to perform under pressure, communicate progress, highlight issues, and provide recommendations to senior leadership. -  Safety-oriented mindset and knowledge of OSHA requirements. -  Understand underground excavation methods and best practices.    Preferred Qualifications- ·        A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management or a related field of study. ·        5 or more years of construction project experience. ·        Previous supervisory experience. ·        Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications. ·        OSHA 10 Certification.   Benefits- Benefits available include Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability and Life insurance, a 401k plan and Employee Stock Purchase plan.  MasTec is a publically traded company MTZ (NYSE).

Position Summary: DAS/ Small Cell Construction Manager Description of Duties: This position entails all phases of construction in DAS and small cell installation. If mid-week changes are required, an email to the Implementation Manager and PM are required. - Daily support should be given to the installation staff in market. This is to include the training of said personnel on best installation practices as well as the general flow of any given project, ie… Scoping Walk, Vendor selection, material procurement, installation, integration, commissioning, RF Opto, closeout requirements.   - Daily site status update submission to the Market PM - This should be an inclusive report. - Current site status - Work to be completed in the upcoming week - Forecasted dates for milestones.   - Daily site Visits. - All projects in active stages of construction should be physically visited by the Market CM several times per week. It is vital that this visit takes place. As a CM your personal update on the site should never be more several days old. It is also highly recommended that photos are taken each time you visit a site with all construction progress that what not already documented via photo on your last visit.   - Conference Calls - It is Vital that you are present and accounted for on all conference calls that have bearing on sites currently in your que. As a CM, all your site updates should be communicated to the Market PM prior to any scheduled conference call in a timely manner to allow for them to assess the update. It is also vital that you are on said calls should the customer raise any question that were not covered in the update to the Market PM   - Bid Report Workups - The Workups should be a single point of reference for the entire project from a proposal perspective. It is vital that every tab is completed with all of the information available. This includes but it not limited to. - RFDS - IBWave Design - Design BOM - Vendor BOM (it is not sufficient to have a material price without the supporting materials list from the vendor) - SOW Bid Walk Notes. (These should be the walk notes either provided by AT&T for bid purposes or created by the CM). The vendors SOW belongs in the tab with their quote. - Driver Tab should be filled out in its entirety. Integration and commissioning drivers can be provided by the design team (Pavan). - ENG Workup Tab. It is important to only markup vendor quotes by the contractually agreed upon percentage. If you are unsure of that percentage, please note that in the workup submission or reach out to your manager for support.   - Integration and Commissioning Support - As the Market CM you “own” the project from the Field side. Education and Training - High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Skills and Experience - Minimum of 5 years of industry experience - Demonstrate expertise in construction skills, rigging, safety and general industry knowledge. - Working knowledge of safety standards and regulations. - NWSA certification is a plus - Job related certifications-First Aid, Safety, Rescue, Wiltron, Anritsu, Fiber, PIM, CPR and Connector attachment - Organizational, computer and communication skills - Must be able to read and interpret site plans, RFDS, construction drawings and SOW - Must have a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting the company policy conditions - If applicable, the ability to maintain FDOT logbooks-training will be provided - Ability to lead, teach and train proper work and safety procedures - Recognize and provide a safe work site with acceptable quality and efficiency - Must be able to provide, record and manage paperwork (Excel, Word etc) - Must be fit and in good physical condition - Must have the ability to climb towers, be able to pick up 50 lbs., and capable of working up to 12 hours. Working Conditions - Must be available to work weekends and/or nights, in extreme weather conditions if necessary - Must have the ability and be willing to travel extensively, as required for job related functions. - Must be able to work out of market or away from home as work demands.
