Duties & Responsibilities
• Splice single mode and multimode fiber
• Fusion splice and terminate various types of fiber optic connectors
• Interpret buried underground and aerial as-builts and splice schedules
• Installation and dressing of fiber optic cabling
• Troubleshoot fiber optic links and certify fiber optic links
• Respond to emergency situations to restore service outages
• Report splicing matrix
Skills & Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience in fiber splicing required
• Demonstrated leadership skills required
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced and quickly changing environment
• Ability to travel and work on call including evenings and weekends as needed

Fiber Splicers are responsible to produce end-to-end fiber optic networks.
In addition, you will:
• Testing and troubleshooting continuity of fiber optic networks
• Operate all testing equipment and be adept at resolution of challenges common to fiber optic networks
• Experience prepping fiber splice enclosures such as Tyco, Commscope, Corning etc.
• Utilize fusion splicer, test equipment OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer) 1310, 1550, DWDM, CWDM, 945 OLTS, Max Tester, Power meter
• Fiber engineer knowledge of fiber design, reading documentation, understanding of light levels and dB loss
• Work in outdoor utility construction sites

Education and Training
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), technical degree preferred
Skills and Experience
- At least 5 years of industry experience
- NWSA certification a plus
- Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and clean driving record to operate a company vehicle.
- Demonstrated expertise in construction skills, rigging, safety and general industry knowledge
- Job related certifications-First Aid, Safety, Rescue
- Ability to operate aerial lifts, man lifts, skid steers and aerial platform equipment
- Must be able to read an interpret site plans, RFDS, construction drawings and SOW
- Must be able to pick up to 50 lbs., and capable of working up to 12 hours.
Working Conditions
- Must be available to work weekends and/or nights, in extreme weather conditions if necessary
- Must have the ability and be willing to travel extensively, as required for job related functions.
- Must be able to work out of market or away from home as work demands.
Salary Range
- $21.39 - $35.65 an hour

Duties & Responsibilities

• Operate mini excavators as needed

Fiber Splicers are responsible to produce end-to-end fiber optic networks.
In addition, you will:
• Testing and troubleshooting continuity of fiber optic networks
• Operate all testing equipment and be adept at resolution of challenges common to fiber optic networks
• Experience prepping fiber splice enclosures such as Tyco, Commscope, Corning etc.
• Utilize fusion splicer, test equipment OTDR (Optical Time-Domain Reflectometer) 1310, 1550, DWDM, CWDM, 945 OLTS, Max Tester, Power meter
• Fiber engineer knowledge of fiber design, reading documentation, understanding of light levels and dB loss
• Work in outdoor utility construction sites
Qualifications

• You have at least 3-5 years of fiber splicing and troubleshooting experience
• You are comfortable working on ladder or bucket truck
• You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands on approach to your work
• You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality

Duties & Responsibilities
• Install and/or repair aerial CTV, coaxial and fiber cable
• Placing, relocating and removing poles, lines, open wire, drop and block wire in order to maintain efficient operation of the customer’s facilities
• Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones and safety barriers
• Lead Groundman in daily work to safely complete jobs
• Direct traffic in accordance with local DOT guidelines as necessary
Skills & Qualifications
• 1+ year of experience in telecommunications construction required
• Knowledge and understanding of OSHA safety requirements to complete the job(s) safely
• Ability to climb/Gaff poles correctly
• Ability to read and understand blue prints
• Ability to read and understand work orders
• Ability to identify aerial equipment
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced and quickly changing environment
• Ability to work on call including evenings and weekends as needed
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to work and climb up to 35 feet
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license required
